  • Educational Advocacy

We provide representation in many areas of education law. Special Education services, include preparation for and appearance at TEAM meetings, and appearance at mediation and hearings before the Bureau of Special Education Appeals (BSEA). We work with parents, students, teachers, and administrators to try to develop curriculum approaches and accommodations most suitably designed for each individual student. At the heart of our Special Education practice is the belief that children with delays and disabilities deserve the same chance to succeed in school as their more typical counterparts. Should their rights be abridged or denied, there is recourse.

School discipline had become quite complex in the past several years. Too often schools see their alternatives as black and white. We strive to provide a creative approach to disciplinary models, with results that are beneficial to all parties.

Finally, we provide representation to teachers aggrieved with one or more aspects of their employment and unable to find representation through their union. We help our clients navigate the complicated maze through administrative procedures and contractual requirements.

  • Mental Health Law

The two primary areas in which Davids and Wollman provides representation in the field of Mental Health law are involuntary commitment procedures and involuntary dispensing of anti-psychotic medication. Patients committed to psychiatric facilities in Massachusetts have many statutory rights which, when enforced, can serve to prevent forced medication and lengthy involuntary hospitalization. Our experience and resolve can, in many instances, prevent a difficult situation from becoming out of control.

  • Real Estate

Davids and Wollman has had an active Real Estate practice from its inception, representing buyers and sellers in residential and commercial transactions. From the initial offer, through negotiation of the purchase and sale agreement, and at the closing, an experienced attorney will protect your interests, answer your questions, and help to make the experience accurate, efficient, and successful.

  • Wills

We take great care to tailor your specific will to your specific needs and we take the time to explain issues surrounding the appointment of executors and guardians, the formation of trusts, and the Health Care Proxy  so that you will make informed decisions.
